摘要
The adsorption of decanoic, dodecanoic, tetradecanoic, dodecylmalonic and 1,12-dodecanedicarboxylic acids at air/solution interfaces in the presence of acid and base solutions is described and correlated with their behaviour as collectors for ion flotation. The effect of changes in surfactant structure on foaming ability and on molecular conformation at the air/solution interface is examined. The selective uptake and interfacial behaviour of shorter-chain analogues - hexanoate and pentanoate - in cationic surfactant foams is also examined.
