摘要
The possibility of a conduction electron and a hole to attract each other and form a bound state is well established. Such bound pairs are called excitons. For many materials excitons are long lived and may be regarded as particles. Under experimentally achievable conditions, an observable drift of excitons is predicted in the direction E multiplied by B and their average velocity is estimated.
