摘要
Efficient vibrational inversion into a narrow distribution of excited levels on a femtosecond time scale can be achieved using a photodissociating electronic continuum by the time gating of laser-induced avoided crossings at high laser intensity using short, femtosecond pulses. The efficiency of the process is examined by solving the time-dependent Schrodinger equation for the 2SIGMA(g)+ --> 2SIGMA(u)u transition in H-2+.
