摘要
Metal(II) complexes, M(ats)2[M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn; Hats = 2-acetylthiophenesalicylaldazine] have been prepared and characterized. Magnetic and spectral data such as electronic, ESR and IR are used to establish the steroechemistry and mode of bonding of azine in the complexes. An X-ray diffraction study suggests a tetragonal unit lattice for Co(ats)2 and orthorhombic unit lattice for Cu(ats)2 and Zn(ats)2.
