摘要：
At least 27 databases worldwide provide information about rubber. More than half of them are available via online hosts in Europe and USA. In addition to that central rubber information sources professional information management demands retrieval in technical, patents and business databases according to the problem. Especially the versatile applications of patent databases above the protection of inventions are not commonly known. On the one hand they are useful for technical or chemical information and on the other hand they offer early indictors for future market trends.
