摘要
Sedimentary materials for the 2 km Neogene/Quaternary section in the Tiszapalkonya-I corehole, north-eastern Hungary (Pannonian Basin) have been used to study the processes of diagenesis. The age of lignite, coal and sediment samples penetrated ranged between 6 and 9 million years with a corresponding temperature increases from 18 to 105-degrees-C over the section studied. The soluble organic matter from 65 coal strata was analyzed by different methods. In some cases the insoluble organic matter was also characterized by Rock-Eval and vitrinite reflectance measurements. The values of bitumen/C(org) and S1 in the top samples have obviously demonstrated that the late diagenetic processes have not taken place yet. The insolubilization was observed in the case of the long-chain aliphatic esters by their decreasing proportion in bitumens. The variation of certain indices (pr/ph, pr/n-C-17, n-C22-/n-C23 + and CPI) also showed a distinctive depth interval 800-1200 m for insolubilization during late diagenesis. The epimerization of 16-alpha[H]-phyllocladane to 16-beta[H]-phyllocladane has encountered below 1300 m and was still incomplete at about 1600 m depth. The traces of the onset of early oil genesis was recognized at about 1500 m depth.
