摘要:
Pyrite ashes are obtained as wastes during the roasting of pyrite ores which is used as a raw material in sulfuric acid production. These wastes are generally landfilled or dumped to the sea. Pyrite ash wastes can be utilized in the iron production industry as a blast furnace feed to prevent environmental pollution and evaluate these wastes, but it is necessary to develop a process for agglomerating it into pellets. Binder must be used for the iron ore pellets production. Experiments were carried out using bentonite. Finally wet-knock, wet-crush and dry-crush tests were carried out for evaluating pellet quality.
