DISTRIBUTION OF NECROSIS GENES IN WHEAT .4. COMMON WHEAT FROM AUSTRALIA TIBET AND NORTHERN EUROPE

摘要
Distribution of necrosis and chlorosis genes in common wheat, Triticum aestivum, was investigated using 73 varieties from Australia, 19 from Tibet, 35 from Sweden, 13 Norway and 15 from Finland. As to necrosis genes, the Tibetan population contained moreNei- than Ne2-carriers, just like other Asian populations and the Australian population. No notable difference was found for chlorosis genes, among all the geographical populations so far examined; more than 90% of varieties had the ch1CH2 genotype, and the rest had the chl ch2 genotype. No Ch1-carriers were found.
