The fundamental right to access to drinking water and the fundamental duty of its sustainable use

This work aims to make a brief observation about the importance of water as a vital element to all living beings, as well as the urgent need to protect this finite wealth, in order to guarantee its use for future generations, based on the principle of solidarity. Still, seeks to demonstrate that the sustainability of water permeates necessarily by the conjunction of several factors, among which education and environmental awareness by all social actors. Still, the access to drinking water goes for two sides: one side is a fundamental right, and another is a fundamental duty of rational use of this feature. In this context, the constitutional protection of the environment is a condition of possibility for fulfillment.
