DISTRIBUTION OF AIR-BORNE FLUORIDE - VAPOR-PHASE, PARTICULATE, PRECIPITATION AND DRY DEPOSITION

摘要
F- was measured in vapour, particulate, rain water and dry deposition at four different sites in Agra, an area dominated by the brick/tile/ceramic industries. Mean vapour phase concentrations varied between 0.20 to 1.84 mu g m(-3) at the four sites and mean particulate level at the Dayalbagh site was 1.6 mu g m(-3). Mean values in precipitation ranged between 40 to 75 mu g l(-1) while F- dry deposition rates varied between 0.03 to 0.23 mg m(-2) d(-1) at the four sites. F- levels in the four phases were significantly higher than background levels, indicating a strong source and sink impact. Spatial and temporal trends in F- levels were also observed.
