摘要
Proton spin relaxation parameters can be determined for particular phases in multiphase materials through indirect measurements on signals in carbon-13 NMR spectra. The results can be used to explore spatial relationships between phases or to edit spectra so that carbon-13 spin relaxation parameters can be determined for overlapping signals from different phases. These methods have been used to show that adding moisture to wood softens the hemicelluloses, with weaker effects on the lignin and cellulose.
