摘要
The crack growth resistance curve or R-curve is the relationship of the current value of the crack growth resistance to the corresponding increase in crack length. In expressing R through the stress intensity factor K this curve is called the K//R-curve. In this case the critical stress intensity factor K//c is the ordinate of the final point of the K//R-curve. This study considered use of the K//R curves for evaluation of the fracture toughness of specimens of different width using as an example D16 aluminum alloy with different strength levels.
