摘要
The two-body, time-correlation function associated with the transient dipole moment - induced by the overlap interaction - has been calculated analytically, assuming that the isotropic diffusion equation propertly describes the relative motion of colliding atoms. The reflecting-wall boundary condition at the distance of the closest approach of two interacting atoms has been taken into account. The sensitivity of the calculated correlation function to the mutual diffusion coefficient D, the distance of the closest approach d, and the overlap range ρ has been clarified and numerically tested. © 1990.
