摘要
According to USSR Standard GOST 7565-81, samples for the chemical analysis of cast iron, steels, and alloys are taken from certain sections of the metal by drilling, milling, turning, or planing. The thickness of the shavings must be within 0. 3-0. 4 mm. The presented data lead to the conclusion that the limitation of the shaving thickness of samples for the chemical analysis of cast iron, steels, and alloys within the narrow limits of 0. 3-0. 4 mm represents not only a difficult technical task but also raises doubts in the correctness of such an approach to the problem.
