摘要
The purpose of this study is to see whether it is possible to polarize a beam by just passing the beam through a tilted foil. Since the nuclear polarization of heavy ion beams is a subject of current interest and a foil is mounted in every tandem accelerator as a charge exchange foil, it is natural to consider the possibility of obtaining polarized beams by tilting the foil to some extent.
