摘要
Dissolution characteristics of calcite and apatite in various inorganic solutions and in the supernatant of each other are examined. The solubility of these minerals is influenced markedly by the supernatant of each other and also by the presence of Ca(NO//3)//2, K//2HPO//4 and K//2CO//3. The total calcium concentration in calcite/apatite heterogeneous systems are found to be controlled by the solubility of calcite under the tested conditions. Solutions in equilibrium with both these minerals are supersaturated with respect to apatite and undersaturated with respect to calcite below pH 9. 8. Above this pH, the solutions are undersaturated with respect to apatite and just saturated with respect to calcite.
