摘要
The solid wood bending process is aided with the use of pre-treatments, which aims to control the main wood quality parameters required for technique efficiency. Such parameters related with anatomic and chemistry properties of woods, may be handled by establishing temperature and moisture content values compatible with the needed proceedings. In this context, an important factor is associated with choosing of timber species to be used, based on its anatomical, chemical and physical properties that directly influence the quality of the final processed product, as well as raw material preparing issues known as storage and milling. Thus, in the industrial environment mainly from Brazil, what is observed the lack of knowledge of concepts about these practices necessary for efficient bending of woods. Several studies have been conducted in the international scientific environment in order to elucidate these mechanisms, showing that the selection of wood for the bending, as well as the definition of practices route the process for obtaining satisfactory results.
