摘要
Dehydrodimerisation of toluene and the oxidation to benzaldehyde and benzyl alcohol are the main reactions at low temperatures (298K-383K). The underlying mechanisms are confirmed by the presence of different following products of these oxidation processes at higher temperatures (423K-723K). These reactions are promoted by metal oxides being found on fly ash. Another important reaction at higher temperatures is the formation of chlorinated aromatic compounds. Both reactions are investigated simultaneously in the vapour phase.
