摘要
College characteristics and educational experiences affect responses to education less than educational attainment. These three independent variables contribute to outcome predictions beyond initial status characteristics. Response patterns suggest differences between academic and social integration. Theories of allocation (status-identity conferal) and reciprocal legitimation of persons and institutions are supported.
