RECENT ADVANCES IN RAINFALL MODELING, ESTIMATION, AND FORECASTING

摘要
This article presents a review of recent advances in rainfall modeling, estimation, and forecasting geared towards hydrologic science and applications. Only peer reviewed articles in U.S journals or by U.S investigators in other journals during the period of 1991 to 1994 are presented, in conformance with the requirements of IUGG. Whenever necessary, reference is made to research articles published during the period of 1987 to 1990, as review of rainfall research during that period was not covered in the previous IUGG volume. Georgakakos and Kavvas's (1987) article presents an insightful review of rainfall research for the period of 1983 to 1986. Copyright 1995 by the American Geophysical Union.
