摘要
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurobehavioral disorders in childhood and adolescence, characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. The symptoms are usually more noticeable in the beginning of the school years, producing a large impact on the social, emotional, academic and recreational environment. The aim of this study was to compare self-concept of children with and without a diagnosis of ADHD. The clinical sample comprised 15 children diagnosed with ADHD and the control sample was of 15 children without the diagnosis, in both cases 8 to 14 years old and from Mar del Plata city (Argentina). The instrument used was the AF5 multidimensional questionnaire. Children with ADHD showed a lower overall self-concept, with statistically significant differences in the emotional and family dimension
