Mathematical models of the integral and local parameters of the heterogeneous detonation of aerosuspensions are reviewed. The problem of the detonation of a mixture of aluminum particles and oxygen and the action of the burning gas-suspension volume on the surrounding medium is formulated in the framework of nonequilibrium one-dimensional nonsteady flow. Steady flows of aluminum-oxygen gas suspensions are analyzed; the theoretical dependence of the detonation rate on the particle content agrees satisfactorily with the experimental data.
