摘要
Ultrasonic transducers (12-45 MHz) with reproducible performance were made using lead metaniobate (LMN) compositions. The signal strength and pulse shape were studied as a function of the active diameter at different frequencies (damped and undamped). A tungsten epoxy composite backing of acoustic impedance 16.5 x 10(6) Ns m-3 was developed to obtain moderate bandwidth with high signal sensitivity. The resultant signals are compared with those predicted by a simple model.
