摘要
To analyze the twenty-first century university is to construct prospective scenarios, visualize tendencies and identify points of rupture and inflection in the context of political and economic cycles, as well as shifts in knowledge. In this essay, the conceptual framework of this intellectual exercise is analyzed; general macrotendencies of the university systems are verified, with special attention placed on the region; and six working hypotheses are formulated in order to contribute to the unveilment of a potential, which, although distant, is being constructed before our eyes.
