摘要：
A solution to the problem of electrodiffusion transport through an inhomogeneous ion-exchange membrane with adjacent diffusion layers is discussed. The proposed approach does not call for interpretation of the model representation of the membrane-material structure. The manner in which the limiting current density and current efficiency vary with membrane thickness, the nature and concentration of solutions, and the parameters characterizing the properties of the membrane is analyzed.
