摘要
The combination of hypnosis and ultrasound-guided bilateral intermediate cervical plexus block (BICPB) was studied in a patient scheduled for total thyroidectomy. The procedure was performed under hypnosis. No additional local anaesthesia was required. No complications were noted. In recovery room, postoperative pain was rated at zero. BICPB could be an alternative to local anaesthesia for thyroidectomy under hypnoanalgesia.
