SCREENING OF ORGANISMS AND INFLUENCE OF CULTURAL CONDITIONS ON THE FERMENTATIVE PRODUCTION OF CELLULASE BY AN ISOLATED STRAIN PENICILLIUM-PURPUROGENUM

摘要
A cellulolytic mold Penicillium purpurogenum isolated from soil and identified in our laboratory was selected as the most potent organism. The optimum cultural conditions for the production of the cellulolytic enzymes by the organism were pH 5.5, period of incubation 11-days, temperature 28-degrees-C and volume of inoculum, a 1 ml spore suspension containing 2 x 10(6) spores per 30 ml, when fermentations were carried out in 100 ml Erlenmeyer flasks on a rotary shaker (150 rpm).
