摘要
Feakins-Lawrence extension of Eyring's transition state theory for viscosity of electrolyte solutions has been applied to aqueous acetonitrile solutions of potassium halides and tetraalkylammonium bromides at 5, 15, 25 and 35-degrees-C. The molar contributions of the electrolytes namely free energy (DELTA-mu-3o*), enthalpy (DELTA-H3o*) and entropy (DELTA-S3o*) to the activation parameters for viscous flow of the ternary system were evaluted using viscosity data. The results are discussed in terms of ion solvent bond-making, bond-breaking and in the light of the recently proposed new theory of Feakins.
