ALTERNATIVE MEANS FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND PRACTICE OF LABOR ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE (MPT) IN MEDIATION AND ARBITRATION OF LABOR DISPUTES

This article aims to analise, in a brief way, the mechanisms used to resolve disputes concerning Labour Law as an alternative to the saturated Judiciary. The slowness in solving disputes leads to an increasing discontentment of those that seek court guardianship to their interests. In this scenario, becomes important the institutes of conciliation, mediation and arbitration as possible solutions to the increasing accumulation of lawsuits pending judgment. This paperwork is also a proposal of enhancing the efforts of Labour Public Prosecution Service as a legitimated organ to actuate as mediator or arbitrator in individual or collective labour matters.
