A study has been made of the extraction of rare-earth element(lll) nitrates (praseodymium-lutetium, yttrium) by mixtures of tri-n-butyl phosphate (or diisooctyl methylphosphonate) and trialkylmethylammonium nitrate in. kerosine. Extraction constants anal the compositions of homo-and heteroligand solvates formed in the organic phase ate found. The optimal concentration ranges for total REE(III) in the aqueous phase and for the extractants in the diluent are found for separating complex REE concentrates by using mixed extractants.
