摘要
During free induction decay the longitudinal and the transverse components of the magnetization are coupled to each other by radiation damping. Therefore, the spin-lattice relaxation time T1 will affect the transverse magnetization as well as the line shape of the Fourier-transformed signal if the radiation damping effects are present. Numerical calculations show that T1 lowers the intensity and broadens the signal. When there is any phase distortion due to radiation damping, it can be obscured by T1. © 1994 The American Physical Society.
