摘要
Using photon correlation spectroscopy the sound velocity of pure fluids can be deduced from the measured frequency separation between the Rayleigh and Brillouin components in the spectrum. This is shown near the critical point for a few transparent fluids. The inaccuracy has been estimated to be better than +/- 0.5 % .
