摘要：

With increasing prevalence of chronic heart failure also increases the frequency and duration of the advanced stages of the disease. Therefore their importance is increasingly becoming the focus of the attending physicians. The subdivision in disease phases has established. This will help the attending physician in the treatment of his patients, since various treatment options are linked to different phases of the disease. Also a patient may take a accurate insight into his disease prognosis. In total it seems advisable to assign each patient a disease phase. The four relevant disease stages and their treatment options are defined and explained in more detail in the following article.
