摘要
Electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis (ESCA) studies on a variety of paper samples show that for samples of similar surface roughness the coefficient of friction is a function of the amount of extractives that are present on the sheet surface. Corona discharge treatment in air is found to produce a marked increase in the coefficient of friction of newsprint due to surface oxidation effects.
