摘要
Decomposition of n-propylamine, diethylamine, and triethylamine over ZrO2, SiO2-Al2O3 and MgO was studied by temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) and catalytic conversion. Deamination/dealkylation and dehydrogenation were the main reactions. The deamination/dealkylation reaction was catalysed selectively over the strongly acidic SiO2-Al2O3, while the dehydrogenation of the primary amine to nitrile was promoted exclusively over the strongly basic MgO. In contrast, the weakly acidic and weakly basic ZrO2 showed the highest activity and selectivity for the formation of nitriles, especially in the decomposition of secondary and tertiary amines. © 1990.
