摘要
Reverse total shoulder arthroplasty has been shown to be effective in reducing pain and improving pain and function in patients with rotator cuff arthropathy, as well as a variety of glenohumeral pathologies with associated rotator cuff deficiency. Severe glenoid bone loss is a surgical challenge that can prevent successful implantation of the glenoid component. We present the use of a custom glenoid component, fabricated using computed tomography 3-dimensional reconstructions and computer-aided design, to treat severe glenoid bone loss in the setting of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. At early follow-up, we were able to provide pain relief and functional improvement using this novel technique.
