摘要：
Measures of output persistence vary between the studies of Campbell and Mankiw (1987) and Cochrane (1988) mainly because of the use of per capita versus real GNP data and annual versus quarterly observations. I show that the existence of trend breaks in both the GNP and the population series can explain the different findings for per capital and real GNP data. © 1991.
