摘要
The changes in chain trajectories occurring during the melting of polyethylene single crystal mats have been studied by using neutron scattering techniques. It is shown that molecules change from a regular superfolded sheet structure into a random coil configuration in a very short time, almost-equal-to 2-4 s. Further, it is shown that the rate at which this process takes place is substantially independent of molecular weight.
