Using the ARGUS detector at the e+e- storage ring DORIS II at DESY new results on beauty and tau physics have been obtained. In particular, new measurements on fundamental constants in the Yukawa sector of the Standard Model are presented. These comprise measurements of CKM matrix elements from the study of B decays as well as determinations of properties of the tau lepton and its neutrino nu(tau). From semileptonic B decays ARGUS finds \V(cb)\ = 0.050 +/- 0.008 +/- 0.007 and from B0B0BAR mixing \V(td)\ = 0.007 +/- 0.002. An analysis of the decay type tau- --> pi-pi-pi+nu(tau) yields a tau mass of m(tau) = (1776.3 +/- 2.4 +/- 1.4) MeV/c2. This result also leads to an improvement of the upper limit on the nu(tau) mass to m(nutau) < 31 MeV/c2 at the 95% confidence level.
