DESCRIPTION OF THE MALE IN 2 SPECIES OF PALPIGRADES

A male topotype of Eukoenenia patrizii (Conde) is described from the grotta del Bue Marino (Sardinia); it is the second known specimen of the species, collected 35 years after the discovery of the female holotype. The male holotype of a new species, Eukoenenia janetscheki n.sp. is also described from the vicinity of Manaus, Brazil; it is the first species of the Order recorded from the amazonian realm. The knowledge of the male genital area is sometimes useful to clear the taxonomy and phylogeny of the group.
