SOLITON INTERACTION OF DARK PULSES ON A BACKGROUND OF FINITE-WIDTH IN OPTICAL-FIBER

摘要
The propagation properties of the secondary dark pulses created by an even input dark pulse superimposed on background with finite width are numerically investigated. The influence of background width and off-center displacement on the pulse parameters as phase, quantity I-p tau(2) and velocity is considered. It is shown that the secondary dark pulses irrespective of the fact that they are not true solitons and adiabatically change their parameters preserve not only the quantity I-p tau(2) but also soliton properties in the course of interaction. Some comments on the application of off-centered even pulses on a finite background to form steerable optical waveguides are presented.
