摘要
Reinvestigation of the products formed in the treatment of Stenhouse salts (I) with acetic anhydrine-pyridine has shown that the previously assigned structures, based on a 2-hydroxypenta-2,4-dienal skeleton, should be revised to the isomeric 4-hydroxypenta-2,4-dienal type. A method of preparation of compounds having the authentic 2-hydroxypenta-2,4-dienal structure has been discovered. © 1969.
