Magnetic properties of the R(2)Fe(17)H(x) series

摘要
Hydrogen insertion in the R(2)Fe(17) series of alloys induces marked changes in the main structural and magnetic parameters. The hydrogen uptake, the cell volume expansion, the saturation magnetization as well as the Curie temperature were analysed for R = Ce to Lu (except Eu and Yb) and for Y and Th. As a negative pressure effect modifies the characteristics of the band structure, in this paper the volume-dependent parameters T-c and M(S) are analysed in terms of the Stoner-Wohlfarth model of itinerant magnetism.
