摘要
Based on the Dirac-Slater self-consistent-field method, we have calculated the reduced normalization factors of all occupied shells for atomic ions. Applying a screened hydrogenic approximation, a nonrelativistic theoretical model is presented to explain the dependence of the reduced normalization factor on the atomic number, the degree of ionization, and the quantum number of the subshell. Both our theoretical model and numerical calculations suggest that the reduced normalization factors are almost proportional to the effective charges.
