摘要
For the approximate calculation of the Newton number of an impeller the knowledge of the drag coefficient of an inclined square plate is of importance. Herewith a calculation model was derived for the turbulent Newton number in an agitated vessel with 4 baffles. A calculation model for the tangential liquid velocity near the baffles resulted from the conservation of torque. The model for heat transfer on a plate was extended with the turbulence of the core flow. Applying the equation of heat transfer on a plate we get an equation for the heat transfer on the inner side of an agitated vessel. After adjusting to the new experimental results a Nusselt equation was derived, which contains operating parameters, substance parameters and geometric parameters. With this new equation the answer is given, how an impeller must be designed in an agitated vessel with 4 baffles at the same specific power of stirring.
