摘要
Operational and meteorological requirements for terrain roughness classifications are developed. Data from more than sixty good field experiments are compared with various popular roughness reviews. The Davenport'60 classification is shown to give a very realistic assessment of rough non-complex terrain, and it is revised with aid of these experimental data.
