THINKING A SOCIAL HUMAN RIGHTS OBSERVATORY

Bosa locality has become an area with significant levels of social gathering and organization, built around an emerging reality that motivates the establishment of dialogues between multiple sectors around a reality that requires a less fragmented interpretation. In this framework, the Alcaldia Local de Bosa and the Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas, through the Instituto para la Pedagogia, la Paz y el Conflicto Urbano, IPAZUD, implemented in 2012 the Social Observatory of Human Rights, a dialogic space which purpose is to become a communication channel in the community; its work will provide other views - different from the homogeneity of official rapports and discourses through social research processes developed by the inhabitants.
