摘要
The Trail Making Test (TMT) is a relatively simple psychomotor task that is used in a variety of evaluation contexts. Because of the test's sensitivity to cognitive impairment it is commonly employed as a screening measure with many different populations. In this study we present TMT data collected from four different groups and discuss the merits of using standard time-to-completion data as well as derived indices that allow comparisons between parts A and B of the TMT. Our findings suggest that the ratio of TMT-B to TMT-A (B/A) is a useful adjunctive measure, particularly when there are suspected confounds of age and education. Nonetheless, a clearer picture might be obtained by examining TMT data from diagnostically rigorous patient groups and carefully matched controls.
