摘要
Anderson formula for investigating the pressure dependence of thermal expansivity is modified by taking into account the pressure dependence of Anderson parameter. The calculations are performed for eight crystals from atmospheric pressure up to their structural transition pressures. the results obtained from the original and modified formulae are almost similar in the low pressure range and deviate significantly in the high pressure range. A comparison is presented with the experimental data available in the case of NaCl. The results are discussed in the light of recent research in high pressure physics.
