摘要
We performed x-ray diffraction, ac susceptibility, and NMR measurements in the Gd(Ni1-xCox)2B2C series of compounds. Substitution of Ni by Co in this series causes an overall decrease of two magnetic ordering temperatures, Ta and Tb, which is probably determined by the combination of two effects: increase of the distance between GdC layers and changes of the density of states near EF related to the band structure due to different contribution of Ni and Co to the filling of the 3d bands. The NMR signal from Co59 and B11 nuclei was observed, and the transferred hyperfine field was estimated to be around 6 T at both sites. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
